From the very beginning of the restoration & preservation journey, individuals throughout the United States and Australia have visited the Shiloh Community.
All three historic sites are located in Notasulga, Alabama (Macon County) and are in close proximity to Tuskegee University and Moton Field (the Tuskegee Airmen National Historic Site).
The tour will include the Shiloh Rosenwald School, one of the early Rosenwald Schools opened in 1922, the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church established in 1870 and the Shiloh Cemetery, the oldest identified gravesite is 1881.
The School, the Church, and the Cemetery were used during the course of the 40 years “U.S. Public Health Service Study of Untreated Syphilis in the Negro Male in Macon County “(1932-1972).
All three sites are listed on the Alabama Register of Landmarks and Heritage and the Shiloh Rosenwald School and the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church are listed on the National Register of Historic Places by the U.S. Department of Interior. Tours are by appointment and no admission fee is required
